British Columbia and its logging agency BC Timber Sales have halted plans for three cutblocks in the range of the Columbia North herd of woodland caribou. The Columbia North subpopulation is currently the largest herd of woodland caribou in the Kootenay region.

Invitation for Feedback on Revisions to Alberta Energy Regulator Directive 050

The Alberta Energy Regulator is seeking feedback on updates to Directive 050: Drilling Waste Management. The proposed changes reduce the regulatory burden throughout the life cycle of drilling waste management without compromising safety.
Feedback will be accepted until January 7, 2022.
