This guide was collaboratively developed to help communities in Northwest territories assess the health of barren ground caribou using non-invasive methods. Focusing on body condition and behaviour, this guide identifies metrics which can be used to assess caribou health and helps establish a common language between communities, researchers, and wildlife biologists who are interested in monitoring caribou health.
