The Caribou Habitat Restoration Fund (CHRF) Grant Applications Now Open!

The Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation is now accepting applications for the Caribou Habitat Restoration Fund (CHRF). This initiative aims to restore high-value habitat for caribou in British Columbia using functional and ecological restoration methods.

Eligibility and Focus

  • Open to any individual or organization capable of restoring caribou habitat in BC
  • Priority given to projects benefiting identified priority herds
  • Guided by provincial guidelines for selecting restoration areas and activities

Funding Details

  • No upper limit on funding requests
  • Priority given to projects with significant partner contributions

Key Dates

  • Application deadline: November 1, 2024, at 4:30 PM (PT)

Additional Opportunities

  • CHRF Seed Grants (up to $10,000) also available to develop a full proposal for submission the following year
